Add 1 tablespoon of Eve's flakes to a clean jar. Add 1 tablespoon of warm water and mix together gently until fully combined. Let her rest uncovered at room temperature.
Add 1 tablespoon of flour and 1 tablespoon of warm water. Stir well, cover loosely, and leave her to rest.
Feed Eve ½ cup of flour and ½ cup of warm water. Stir thoroughly and cover loosely again. She should be showing more visible bubbles and beginning to rise.
Feed 1 tablespoon of flour and 1 tablespoon of warm water. Leave for a full 24 hours. For best results keep your home between 72–75°F — this is Eve's ideal rising temperature.
If your temperature is below 72°F and Eve hasn't doubled in size yet — don't worry. Simply continue feeding every 24 hours until she doubles. She's alive, she just needs a little more time and warmth.
Once she has doubled in size and is bubbly and active — Eve is fully awake and ready to bake with. With proper care and regular feeding she will last you a lifetime.
